IPification CEO Stefan Kostić to Speak at the International Fraud Awareness Week

ipification at international fraud prevention week

IPIfication CEO Stefan Kostić will be giving a presentation at the International Fraud Awareness Week.

The International Fraud Awareness Week will be taking place on November 18-19 via Zoom. It is organized by the Association of Serbian Banks in cooperation with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners in order to join the global effort to minimize the impact of fraud.

In this two-day online conference, the participants will have the chance to learn about and discuss digital identity protection, Information security, cybersecurity, and digital operations risks.

Stefan Kostić will be presenting “Security of Users in Mobile Banking – The Future of Two-Factor Authentication and the Risks of SMS as a Channel for Authentication of Transactions and Users” on Wednesday, November 18.

Today, SMS-OTP is used in 97% of mBanking apps, even though it often fails security-wise. Around 25% of the codes never arrive, and 100% of the use cases aren’t aligned with the latest user privacy and security regulations due to SIM swap and other hacking attacks.

IPification CEO will be discussing the ways to always stay one step ahead of the fraudsters by finding the right solutions for the security of mBanking apps, while simultaneously providing a better user experience.

We’d like to thank the organizers for creating a platform to discuss these important issues, especially in the era where online activities have skyrocketed, and in turn the cybersecurity risks for both businesses and their end-users.
