SINGAPORE – IPification, a world leader in network-based authentication and mobile identity with close to 1 billion authentication transactions processed globally, today announced its expansion into the Vietnamese market through a strategic partnership with Viettel, Vietnam’s largest telecommunications operator. The agreement was formalized at MWC Barcelona 2026 in the presence of Julian Gorman, GSMA Head of APAC.
This partnership marks a pivotal shift for Vietnam’s digital landscape, aiming to phase out traditional passwords and SMS-based One-Time Passwords (OTP) in favor of advanced, “zero-tap” authentication technology.
Ending the era of SMS OTP and password friction
By integrating IPification’s proprietary technology into Viettel’s network infrastructure, digital service providers can now authenticate users with near-absolute security. This solution eliminates the need for: traditional, vulnerable passwords; SMS-based OTP codes; complex, multi-step manual inputs that disrupt the user experience.
By leveraging unique SIM, network, and device identifiers, IPification enables instant identity verification. This architecture offers robust protection against prevalent cyber threats, including SIM swapping, phishing, and social engineering attacks.

With a global track record of nearly one billion transactions processed, IPification’s expansion into Vietnam targets one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing digital economies. The partnership addresses the surging demand for scalable, high-security authentication within banking, fintech, and high-risk digital services.
